This signature event returns with even more holiday magic! Bring your family and friends for an evening filled with hot chocolate and walking s’mores, a light parade led by Santa, wagon rides with caroling, art voting contest and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Here’s what’s in store:
~Light Parade (5 p.m.)
LeRoy’s beloved Light Parade is back! Decorate your golf cart, ATV, car, or truck with festive lights and join the lineup on East Main Street near Evans Printing & Publishing. Santa will lead the parade down Main Street in a horse-drawn wagon. Let’s light up LeRoy!
~Christmas Tree Lighting (5:45 p.m.)
Gather in the public parking lot between Trish’s Heavenly Designs and Evans Printing & Publishing for a magical moment as we light up LeRoy’s Christmas tree—starting a bright new tradition!
~Wagon Rides & Caroling (6–8 p.m.)
Climb aboard a cozy wagon from Hanson Horse Ranch and take a ride around town. Sing along to holiday classics or simply enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. Rides depart from behind the fire hall.
~Art Contest Voting (5–8 p.m.)
Stop by the fire hall to vote for your favorite Christmas-themed paintings. Local artists of all ages have created small canvases that will be displayed for community voting. Categories include grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-10, 11-12 and adults. Winners in each age group will receive $20 or $10 in LeRoy Bucks. Purchase your canvas for $10 at A Gift to Gab or Ed’s Floral & Gifts today. Support local talent while soaking in the holiday spirit!
~Christmas Decorating Contest
Show off your holiday creativity! Decorate your home or business to compete for LeRoy Bucks. Judging will take place on Dec. 11. Winners in each category will be announced at the tree lighting ceremony and receive $100 (1st place), $75 (2nd place) or $50 (3rd place). Get festive and help spread cheer across LeRoy!
~Santa Trees for Wildwood Grove & LSS Residents
Brighten the holidays for residents of Wildwood Grove Assisted Living and Lutheran Social Services group homes. Visit A Gift to Gab, Ed’s Floral & Gifts, or Emporium 56 to pick up a tag from our special Santa Trees, listing Christmas wishes from residents. Choose one (or more!) to make their holiday dreams come true.
