Let's Hike

Join Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures for an afternoon on the trail! Hiking is a great way to engage with nature and get outside. It's also a great way to connect with others who enjoy getting outside. Remember, with Dirty Girl Adventures we each "hike our own hike" this isn't a race, it is an opportunity to get outside and move our bodies with friends both old and new. DGA will provide a lead guide and a sweep guide to support everyone on the trail.

Saturday April 5th, we will hike at Perry State Park. This wonderful area provides well maintained trails, views of the lake and some good incline/decline to warm us up. These trails are natural terrain with rough, uneven surface including rocks and tree roots. We will hike from about 1pm until 4ish covering 3-4 miles depending on the route. Discussion prior to the hike will focus on ways that you can build strength and stability for more hiking.

When: Saturday April 5th at 12:30pm

Where: Check in at Perry Lake Trails - Detailed directions will be emailed to participants before the event.

Bring/Wear: Water, hiking poles, snacks, dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes/boots with good tread.

What: Guided group hiking with information about trails, the ecosystem in our area of Kansas.

What are you paying for? Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC will organize the event, provide a guide, support on the trail and docent information throughout the event. We will monitor the weather and conditions to ensure that our event and participants are safe. Our knowledgeable and informed guide service includes a leading guide and a sweep guide during the hike. Trail support including: first aid, knowledge of the environment and locale, safety monitoring, pacing, interpretive information on the environment and location.

In case you are wondering about our refund policy – refunds are given up to two weeks before the date of the event when the refund is requested in an email directed to [email protected]. After that, there are no refunds. Dirty Girl Adventures may cancel an event due to weather or conditions. Everyone will receive a refund if that is the reason for the cancellation. We will paddle and hike in cool, rainy or snowy conditions. Cancellation only occurs in severe weather or other dangerous conditions.
