LET'S GO! Philly arts and culture community, join All Around This World FOR A DYNAMIC INTERNATIONAL CONCERT AT TRINITY@22nd FOR URBAN LIFE IN CENTER CITY ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21st as we launch the Global Orchestra, an INSPIRING worldwide network of musical teaching artists who will use singing, drumming and FUN to teach kids EVERYWHERE about the wealth of world cultures.In support of this mission, this crowdfunding concert will feature performances by some of Philadelphia's most extraordinary musicians:
-- Alex Shaw - percussion / vocals
-- Patricio Acevedo (Chile / Andes) - guitar / cavaco / cuatro / vocals
-- Nathalie "Talie" Cerin (Haiti) - guitar / vocals
-- Youba Cissokho (West Africa) - kora
-- Qin Qian (China) - ehru
-- Senfu Stoney (rep. West Africa) - djembe / percussion
The event is free, though this a FUNDRAISER to launch the Global Orchestra. After you RSVP here, go to https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/all-around-this-world/campaigns/6481 to support this ambitious music education project. Suggested per ticket donation $25-$50.
While members of the Global Orchestra will ultimately be teaching to, and performing for, young children, this "Let's Go!" event will be better for grown-ups.
Remember: Parking at 22nd and Spruce isn't easy! If you drive make sure to leave time.
