Dubbo Zoo Safari | Monday 17th to Friday 21st November 2025
You will experience an African safari right in the heart of NSW. This unrivalled zoo safari experience is inclusive of meals, accommodation, exclusive tours, three-day zoo entry and bike hire. In addition to this, we will enjoy a Safari Night Tour (see some zoo residents after dark) and a Safari Morning Tour (tour the zoo and see the animals in early morning light). Downtime to enjoy your lodge and the animals. Climbing aboard our coach for a Zoo Tour with Driver Dan after our Zoofari Lodge Experience.
Day One:
Pick-ups commence by 07:00. We then head south for morning tea at Coolongolook. We visit the stunning, historical Tocal Homestead, which is located on the top of a small rise overlooking a lagoon. The house garden consists of magnificent fig trees that frame the Homestead lawn. A baked lunch today will also be onsite at the Homestead. Checking in late afternoon at Charbonnier Hotel, & Francis Phillip Motor Inn, Singleton. Dinner is on-site tonight.
Includes: air-conditioned coach transport, Port Bus morning tea, visit, tour, lunch, 2-course dinner & accommodation.
Day Two:
We stop in for a morning break at Dunedoo which also has some fantastic silo art. The Dunedoo Silo, side one and two, has been painted by Peter Mortimore over three months during July, August and September of 2020. Depicted on the side silo is Winx, a retired champion Australian thoroughbred racehorse and her famous rider Hugh Bowman, who was born in Dunedoo. Also featured is Chris Waller, Winx’s trainer. Side two silo displays the local fauna and flora. We continue through to Merriwa where we look at the Merriwa Art Silos. The mural depicts a flock of sheep wearing red socks in a canola field. Why the red socks? The artist pays homage to the town's beloved annual Festival of the Fleeces. We have arranged lunch at the Royal Hotel Denman. Now, onto Dundullimal Homestead. It is located on the land of ‘the Dundullimal’ who were part of the Wiradjuri nation whose knowledge and experience of the area spans thousands of years. The land became the head station of a large squatting run in 1836, and the house was built in the early 1840s, soon becoming a key property when droving cattle and sheep to different stations, meat works and markets across the nation. The Homestead has survived in a near unaltered condition since its construction and is now the only tangible evidence of the early squatters' run. The timber church, which can still be seen today, was built in the 1870s and has connections to Saint Mary MacKillop. It’s now time to start our Zoofari Experience! @ Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Arriving for check-in around 15:15. Time for cocktail hour at 15:45, Giraffe feeding @ 16:45, Dinner at 18:00, and our night safari tour commences at 20:00.
Includes: air-conditioned coach transport, visit/tour, Port Bus morning tea, lunch, 3 x day zoo pass, accommodation (2 styles), giraffe feeding, African-inspired dinner & an exclusive guided night safari tour.
Day Three:
Join an early morning tour @ 07:00 before breakfast. After our busy zoo morning, we head into Dubbo for a Royal Flying Doctor Service Visitor Experience. Our next stop is the Old Dubbo Gaol. Time to head back to the Zoo this afternoon to sit back and enjoy the property or do it all again! Cocktail happy hour, Giraffe feeding, Dinner and a night zoofari.
