Compassion & Choices volunteer presenters, Summit Care Partners, and other end-of-life professionals have been invited by Chesapeake Public Libraries to participate in their education series, Let's Get Uncomfortable: End-of-Life Conversations.

What happens after a bad medical diagnosis?
Would you worry, or make your medical wishes known?
Learn what you can do now to avoid unwanted treatment and have things done your way.
Presenter bio: Stephanie Stringer
Stephanie holds an undergraduate degree in Social Work and a graduate degree in Special Education. After teaching for a few years, she changed careers to work in Human Resources and technology both in Boston and Raleigh, NC. She and her husband retired and moved to Norfolk in 2006. Since 2019, she has been an active volunteer for Compassion & Choices. Stephanie was also a local and national disaster volunteer for the Red Cross and the past president of the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Tidewater. Currently, she volunteers with the Tidewater Appalachian Trail Club leading hikes, bike rides, and paddles in the Hampton Roads area.
