About this Event
Join us from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Redmond City Hall for the next Information and Strategy Session, focused on public safety, emergency preparedness, and community readiness ahead of the summer’s World Cup event. Plus, hear from Sounds legends James Riley and Brad Evans about the teams still competing for a spot in the World Cup and the teams coming to Seattle.
This free session is designed for local businesses, community organizations, partners, and Redmond residents who want to understand what to expect during World Cup match days and how to prepare for increased activity across the region.
City of Redmond staff and partners will share updates on:
· Public safety and emergency management planning
· What businesses and community members should know ahead of major match days
· How to prepare staff, spaces, and operations for increased visitors
· Upcoming opportunities where businesses and the community can actively participate and benefit from World Cup-related activity
This session will also highlight ways local businesses can lean in—through coordination, communication, and preparedness—to help create a safe, welcoming, and successful experience for residents and visitors alike.
Light refreshments will be provided. Networking starts at 9:30 a.m., followed by a live presentation at 10:00 a.m. We encourage businesses and community members interested in planning ahead, staying informed, and being part of Redmond’s World Cup readiness efforts to attend.
