Discover some amazing Bear sculptures on the Bears of Sheffield trail AND take part in brilliant activities with Sheffield Museums, Sheffield Theatres and Site Gallery at the Millennium Gallery on Saturday the 17th July 2021 11am-3pm.We are excited to announce that Create Sheffield are offering families the chance to complete their Arts Award Discover in a Day for FREE by taking part in these activities and there are PRIZES for participation! Suitable for ages 5-11.

Activities
Site Gallery
Join artist Geo Law for an interactive digital art workshop. Taking the Sheffield Bear Trail as inspiration you will have the opportunity to create your own original artwork and transform it into a digital illustration.
Throughout the day we will collect your contributions and add them to our digital bears showreel that will be protected onto the walls of Millenium Gallery. There will also be live demonstrations of Adobe Photoshop throughout the day.
Geo Law is an artist and illustrator based in London but hails from Sheffield. He has created work for clients such as Walt Disney, Google, The New York Times and Facebook with his colourful characters, animated gifs and vibrant murals. Geo’s art process involves drawing whether using pens or his iPad Pro he uses a mixture of these techniques to create his illustrations via Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.
Sheffield Museums
Celebrate the arrival of Sheffield’s very own sleuth of bears with us at Millennium Gallery!
You can help us create some giant bear art that might even go on display at Weston Park Museum – as well as making your own bear paintings to take home, in the experimental and colourful style of John Hoyland!
All materials will be supplied.

Create your own story for our Bears of Sheffield and act out your script with performers on a stage!

Children's University Credits
Children can also gain Children's University credits if you have a Passport to Learning by taking part in the Bears of Sheffield trail and completing their activity challenge. For more information visit their website.
Bears of Sheffield
The Bears of Sheffield will help fund a new Cancer and Leukaemia Ward at Sheffield Children’s through donations, merchandise, sponsorship challenges and fundraising throughout the trail. At the end the big Bears will be auctioned off to the highest bidder to raise money and the little ones will return back to their nursery, school or college! You can help raise money during the Bears of Sheffield by donating here , taking part in an event or registering for a fundraising pack.
