Ultimately, you'll walk away with newfound respect and joy for the planet we call home.

Guest Speaker:

Mina Nada, M.A., is a geographer, environmental researcher, and nature educator. He received his B.S. in Earth System Science from UC Irvine and completed his Master's degree in Geography at Cal State Long Beach. He founded The Atlas Botanica in 2022 with the goal of educating people on the many edible and medicinal uses of the plants and trees found in Southern California, helping them form deeper connections with local landscapes. In his free time, he is actively tending to his garden, enjoys experimenting with new dishes, playing board games, creating art, surfing, and being outdoors.

The walk itself will be on the trail (cleared dirt path) and there are portions that are quite uneven. The trail is not strenuous at all, but it's recommended to wear a good pair of hiking boots.

The parking lot itself is quite large, plenty of space, and pretty flat with both paved road and dirt road
