We have ambitious goals for this year's CT Foodshare’s “Walk Against Hunger”: to raise $43,000 for our MANNA Community Pantry and kids' Backpack Nutrition program.
We need the help of our amazing volunteers, faith groups, civic organizations, corporate & community partners, staff and friends!
100% of the funds we raise through our "Hands On Hartford Friends & Family Team", or on your own team that are specifically designated to Hands On Hartford as the "benefiting agency", will go directly to support Hands On Hartford's vital hunger relief programs to benefit our Hartford neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
In order to meet our $43,000 goal, we are counting on ALL OF YOU because the need this year is even greater! We are now providing groceries to (most recently) over 1,100 households each month in our community pantry and backpacks full of healthy, kid-friendly meals to 231 children every weekend throughout the school year through our Kids' Backpack Nutrition program.

You can help by:
1. Walking with us and/or raising funds for us!
Register as a walker and help us raise funds for our "Hands On Hartford Friends & Family Team". No amount raised or donated is too small! (ps. 2. Recruiting others to walk with you!
It’s always more fun when you grab a group to walk together (but don’t worry if you’re walking alone-you’re always welcome to meet up with all our staff and volunteers)!

************************ DAY OF THE WALK INFO ************************
We'd love to see you on the day of the Walk - Saturday, April 26, 2025 stepping off at 10:00 am. We'll be at our table at Dunkin' Park (where the Yard Goats play) starting at 8:00am. This year's Walk will once again be hosted by media personalities Scot Haney and Renee DiNino!

Your support will help provide groceries for families struggling to get by and meals for folks who turn to us for help - many of who are housing insecure or just don't have quite enough income to make it through the week. And for the kids in our Backpack Nutrition Program, this support means they will have breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks all weekend long.
