About this Event

Join me at Modern Standard Coffee for a Sunday afternoon of Drawing Something Fun. If you are looking for fun in-person drawing assignments learning how to use a variety of materials, this is perfect for you. We will begin each session with a quick and quirky drawing game. I will then introduce the project for that day. It could be anything from drawing from life to creating fun illustrations of animals, people, buildings, plants and more. The subjects will vary from session to session. We will use fine liners, colouring pencils, illustration marker pens and more. This class is good for beginners but also challenging enough for those that want to get back into drawing again or want to join a community of other illustration enthusiasts.

These sessions are designed to welcome you back to the world of drawing with projects that are fun but also a little challenging. At the end of each session you will be given sketchbook assignments as sometimes it can be difficult to think of what to draw when it's just you and your sketchbook.

You can bring your own sketchbook and paper and pens to the class or you can choose the option where you just rock up and I provide all drawing materials for you.

Your ticket includes the price of a large drink (coffee, hot chocolate or tea) plus shortbread upon arrival. You can also buy pastries from their wonderful selection on the day.

Each month there is an opportunity to purchase a reduced rate ticket. This ticket is for someone who needs a little pick me up or perhaps they are going through a bit of a financially tricky time. We have all been there. If this is you, please take that ticket.

We will be meeting in Modern Standard Coffee's light and lovely upstairs space at 49 Barclay Terrace, EH10 4HW. I have not only chosen this space as it's a favourite coffee shop of mine, but the atmosphere is great, the chat is good and they are also a living wage employer. It's good to be good, right?

****Cancellation Policy

In the past I have had cancellations on the day and have fully refunded all tickets, or moved ticket to another date. I know life can be unpredictable but think it's time to put into place a new cancellation policy. As there is usually a waiting list for this session, and it does take a bit of time for me to contact people on the list as well as update coffee shop to change in attendee list. I now require 48 hours notice. If you cancel 48 hours in advance, I will refund the full ticket price. If you need to move the ticket to another date, Eventbrite charges £5 which I will pass on to the customer. Thank you so kindly for your understanding.
