Ready to tackle your reading list this winter? Looking for some talking points to impress your book club? Whatever your reading goals are in 2026, get ready with this 4-week seminar on strategies to help you see beyond what’s actually written on the page. Don’t be intimated any longer by that classic on your shelf! Get more out of every reading experience! If you’re ready to recognize quest patterns, symbolism, and archetypes like a professor or learn more about what’s really happening in a spicy dinner scene or a ghost story, join us at WordLabs this November and December. Open to all experience levels, ages 15+. No materials required. **Welcoming film lovers as well, but we can’t guarantee that you won’t be highly encouraged to read the book version, too.
About Your Instructor:
Christianne Wojcik met the love of her life when she was a teenager and even though he’s been dead since 1616 her early obsession for all things Shakespeare has never waned. Over more than 20 years, Christianne has taught courses in literature and composition for adults, university and high school students, and causal enthusiasts. She loves advising on community theatre productions of Shakespeare and other early-modern drama, but her “to-be-read” book stack indiscriminately includes works from every genre. She is currently the Executive Director of Kingston Literacy & Skills, the home of WordLabs, and is a passionate advocate for literacy, education, and learning through the lifespan.
