Jean Stern's talk will focus on how fine artists have documented places that are eventually lost to us, over time and with population growth.In the years our lecture will begin, artistic renderings are the only way we can experience the untouched beauty of Maui. In more recent times, artists depicted scenes that were lost forever in the tragic fire of 2023. This lecture will celebrate the importance of artists in documenting the fragile beauty of Maui.
Mr. Stern is a Museum Director and art historian with over 40 years experience.
