Lesoir is Dutch prog-rock band who have worked hard to achieve their status over the last ten years, touring with bands like Riverside, The Gathering, The Pineapple Thief, Evergrey & The Gathering & playing on festivals like MIDI (China), Night Of The Prog and more.The band released their most successful album to date, "Mosaic" May 2020. Backed by producer duo John Cornfield (Muse, Supergrass, Ben Howard and Robert Plant) and Paul Reeve (vocal producer for Matt Bellamy), Mosaic was recorded in a 10-day session at Airfield Studio (St Merryn, UK) by War Of The World guitarist Jo Partridge.
Lesoir made a virtue of necessity in the quiet but turbulent lockdown period and in 2020 immediately started working on something that would then become an 'interim project' for the band. Recorded at various locations in South Limburg (NL), the resulting 20-minute and 20-second epic grew into a full-fledged addition to the band's already existing repertoire.
Under the name Babel, Lesoir presents its first epic, a 20 minutes and 20 seconds journey on which the band shows itself from its most melodic side, deepening the sound of their previous album Mosaic and mastering their creativity.
