Leprous is a progressive metal band from Notodden, Norway, formed in 2001. Known for their blend of complex rhythms, dynamic arrangements, and emotive melodies, the band has developed a distinctive sound that combines elements of metal, rock, and ambient music. Initially gaining attention as the live backing band for black metal artist Ihsahn, Leprous quickly established their own presence with albums like Bilateral (2011) and Coal (2013), which showcased their technical prowess and versatility.
