**⚓ Lenoir County Remembers: End of WWII Commemoration Event 80th Anniversary ⚓**
**📍 Friday – Welcome & Remembrance**
**1600hrs** – Check-in begins at the *American Legion Building* (300 N McLewean St, Kinston, NC).
Guests are invited to browse an intimate display showcasing the spirit and sacrifice of the WWII era—open before and after dinner.
**1800hrs - 1900hrs** – *Mess Hall Dinner is served!*
Pull up a chair and enjoy a hearty meal among friends and history buffs.
**Special Presentation:** WWII through the eyes of historian **Cliff Tyndall**.

**🪖 Saturday Daytime – History Comes Alive**
**0900 hrs** – Muster at the *CSS Neuse Museum* (100 N Queen St).
**0930 hrs** – Ceremony begins on the *Courthouse Grounds*—a tribute to those who served.
**1000–1200 hrs** – Climb aboard for a guided bus tour with Cliff Tyndall exploring Lenoir County’s WWII landmarks
**1200–1400 hrs** – Chow time at the American Legion!
While you dine, take another stroll through the engaging exhibits on site.
**1500 hrs** – The Legion closes to the public.
**1400–1700 hrs** – Rest & recharge before a dazzling evening.

**💃 Saturday Night – Swing Into the '40s**
Slip into your best *1940s regalia* and lace up those dancing shoes!
**1730hrs** – Check-in for the *USO-style dance* at the CSS Neuse Museum.
**1800hrs** – Dinner is served.
**1900hrs - 2000hrs** – Let the *Big Band* rhythms sweep you upstairs for live dancing.
**2000hrs - 2200hrs** – Keep the celebration going with a toe-tapping DJ set of classic 1940s hits.
Hollywood Stars and Starlets will be there to Dazzle you!
