Join PhxArt for the fall 2025 Dawn and David Lenhardt Lecture featuring artist Adam Pendleton in conversation with Dr. Adrienne Edwards, Engell Speyer Family Senior Curator and Associate Director of Curatorial Programs at the Whitney Museum of American Art.Pendleton, a leading voice in contemporary American painting, is known for redefining abstraction through layered processes that blend gesture, text, and form, with work in major collections worldwide including MoMA, the Whitney, and Tate Modern.
Edwards, an acclaimed curator, writer, and scholar, co-curated the Whitney Biennial 2022: Quiet as It’s Kept, has organized groundbreaking exhibitions and performances internationally, and served as President of the International Jury of the 59th Venice Biennale.
Together, they will discuss the intersections of contemporary art, abstraction, and cultural history in a conversation not to be missed.
