Register Today on-line at https://form.jotform.com/250968312131149Have you been interested in the programs offered by the Museum of Indian Culture, but weren’t part of a group?
Here is your opportunity! For a special “Saturday at the Museum” program, education director, Chris Applegate, will present Lenape Lifeways, an introduction to day-to-day life in our area before the arrival of the Europeans.
Chris uses an interactive style and an abundance of props to illustrate foods, clothing, tools, music, and traditional stories. The presentation will be followed by Lenape games and/or the opportunity to throw “darts” (spears) using an atlatl.
This program runs about an hour and a half, and is appropriate for adults and children who accompany them.
The program will be held outside at the Museum of Indian Culture, 2825 Fish Hatchery Road, Allentown, PA, so please dress weather appropriate. In case of rain, the event will be held May 10th.
Registration is required. The cost is $10.00 per person for ages 8 and up, which includes both the program and admission to the museum. To register, please visit the museum’s website at www.museumofindianculture.org.
Also, bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the program and walk the Lenape Trail in the Little Lehigh Parkway. If you have any questions, please feel free to email [email protected] or call (610) 797-2121.
