Songwriter series. www.lenseligman.comCome to the Eugene concert debut of award-winning singer/songwriter and gifted instrumentalist Len Seligman (pronounced "SELL-ig-min"). Len will be joined by two stellar artists: award-winning jazz and world percussionist Jon Seligman and Len’s wonderful Bhakti Heart duo partner Laura Kemp, who will sing harmonies on several songs.

Inspired by the poet Rumi, songwriting greats John Lennon and Randy Newman, and the world music fusion of Ry Cooder, "Len Seligman's music radiates joy. Len's awards include: First Place in the Great American, West Coast, and Dallas songwriting contests; Finalist, UK, Mid-Atlantic, and West Coast songwriting contests and the Positive Music Awards; Four nominations for Washington (DC) Area Music Awards ("WAMMIES").
Len co-leads the kirtan duo Bhakti Heart with much-loved award-winning singer-songwriter Laura Kemp. Bhakti Heart leads joy-inducing, heart-opening monthly chant gatherings. Len is a long-time meditator, student of multiple spiritual paths, and is active in interfaith work. His belief in the interconnectedness of all beings and the power of mindfulness and compassion inspire his music.
Len is a thrilling improviser on guitar, octave mandolin, harmonium, and other string instruments. Grammy-winning recording artist David Darling spoke of his "soulful, virtuoso playing." After many years as a PhD computer researcher-geek, Len returned full-time in early 2018 to his first love of music. This is Len’s first post-pandemic concert and his first in Oregon, where he arrived in 2021.
