About this Event
Join us on Saturday, June 8th from 11 – 1:30 pm for a Lemon Immersion workshop where we’ll be tasting different flavor profiles, learning about the properties of lemons and how to transform them into items to use in our own culinary creations.
Urban Farm Girls - Penny Cotter & Penny Ellis will guide us in making 3 items:
- Preserved Lemons
- Lemon Curd
- Two varieties of Limoncello that you can make at home.
The workshop includes 1 pint of preserved lemons, instructions & recipes for all items.
We’ll enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch of salad with assorted farm snacks, dessert & beverages. Attendees are welcome to bring their own wine!
Attendees will have an option to do a U-Pick of organically grown Eureka & Meyer lemons plus a variety of orange citrus varieties at the farm for $1 per lb. Additional citrus, produce, flowers, and a variety of jams and farm items will be for sale at our farm stand afterwards.
Please bring a sharp paring knife with you to the workshop.
Our small group gatherings are outdoors. Please dress accordingly.
