This one-day workshop will introduce the basic principles of lithography using aluminum foil, gum Arabic, and lemon juice. We will use simple materials to produce small, beautifully tonal lithographs without a press. Beginners and experienced printmakers are welcome. All materials will be provided. This workshop will take place in the Museum’s meeting room.Lithography is often considered a complex and challenging medium, requiring a wide range of materials and equipment. This method shifts that concept around, using easily accessible materials. We will create images from start to finish, including processing and printing a small set of prints onto thin Asian-style papers.
