The Leipzig Glocal (leipglo.com), our international web magazine based in Leipzig, strives to connect great companies with qualified employees through its popular jobs page and Leipzig Glocal Job Fair series. The job fair, held semi-annually in Leipzig venues, is a unique opportunity for job-seekers and companies with local headquarters or branches to connect in a more direct and personal way than online job search engines or gigantic job fairs. Being held once again in Halle D at the laid-back WERK 2, the fair caters specifically to international-minded people and offers a connection with a diverse, motivated and talented workforce to companies.
We often hear about how fast Leipzig and region are growing. But even with quite a few job search engines and job fairs serving the area, companies and staff that would be a perfect match still have trouble finding each other. As a result, many become disenchanted and leave our area for “greener pastures” (*cough* Berlin).
Our popular jobs page, which reaches thousands of people per month, is part of these efforts. The other is to go offline with our Leipzig Glocal Job Fair series – i.e. our first job fair in WERK 2, our second one in cooperation at LVZ, and our third one again in WERK 2 in November 2019.
After a long break due the pandemic, our most popular event is back where it all started!
Our webzine gets around 15,000 views at its url per month and has more than 12,000 followers combined on social media. We will use these channels and our local institutional partnerships to make sure we reach as many job-seekers and companies as possible.
