Dr. Leigh Vinocur, MD, MS, FACEP, is a board-certified emergency physician, an award-winning medical advisor, and national spokesperson and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP). Dr. Leigh began her medical career as a pioneering woman in urology, as one of the first female residents accepted in her program. As an emergency physician, she has served in both academic and corporate medical leadership roles, including Chief Medical Director overseeing more than 100 medical providers caring for more than 150,000 patients annually throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
As the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Ananda Medical Practice and Consulting, she is a highly sought-after medical cannabis expert and advisor for patients and the industry, focusing her work on education and training in medical cannabis science and therapeutics. Dr. Leigh was also appointed by the Governor of Maryland to the state’s newly formed Cannabis Public Health Advisory Council.
Dr. Leigh has become one of the go-to medical analysts including regular appearances on The TODAY Show, the Fox News Channel, CNN and the Nancy Grace Show, HLN Prime News, Inside Edition, as well as ABC News and the CBS Early Show. She has contributed monthly health columns for the Examiner, Savvy Auntie, Huffington Post, and has been profiled in More and Family Circle magazines. She also writes the popular "Ask Dr. Leigh" column in the Hearst publication, GreenState, where she answers readers' cannabis-related questions.
Sloane Brown’s media career covers the gamut: TV anchor/reporter, radio disc jockey/news director; beginning in Monterey/Carmel, California, then Salt Lake City, Utah, before coming to Maryland. In Baltimore, Sloane has been a news anchor for WMAR TV, news director for Lite 102 Radio, TV host on MPT TV, and arts/entertainment reporter and film critic for Fox45 and Washington DC’s WJLA TV.
