Legislative Advocacy Prep Day: Educate, Empower, and Prepare for Advocacy Legislative Advocacy Prep Day is a free, public event open to everyone in the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community, including individuals with I/DD, friends, parents, and advocates.
Morning Session: Gain a clear understanding of how the legislative process works and learn practical strategies for engaging with legislators during advocacy days in Salem.
Afternoon Session: Refine your advocacy skills with interactive workshops. Develop and practice delivering short, impactful speeches tailored for meetings with legislators, and participate in mock interviews to build confidence and poise.
