Saint Patrick’s Day is just around the corner.. and Ginny and the Re-A-Rangers have one hell of an Irish Celebration planned for Pembroke once again this year!!!! We are Pre-Paddy-ing on Friday March 13th where we will honour the legacy of the Ottawa Valley’s beloved Douglas Tavern where so many of us celebrated our rich Irish heritage in years past.
Opening up this rowdy hooley is Newfoundland native Cyril Barrett with a lively set of east coast kitchen party tunes.
The Re-A-Rangers will keep the craic going with some traditional Celtic and east coast (such as The Rattlin Bog and Whiskey in The Jar), and some alternative Celtic (such as Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys) mixed in with their eclectic rock and pop set you know and love, but hold your horses…. there’s more!!!!
Distinguished Kingston based fiddle player Al Duquette will join Ginny and her clan adding some traditional Irish and Ottawa Valley fiddle tunes to the mix…..We heard that Ginny can’t wait to dust off her step dancing shoes for a reel or two!
Irish songs, shenanigans, and a little bit of mischief — the craic will be 90 all night!
