Step back into Medieval Ireland and uncover the gripping story of Alice Kyteler, the first woman tried in Ireland for heresy, and the powerful Bishop Ledrede who led the case against her.
In this creative storytelling and writing workshop, young participants will:
· Design their own character living in Medieval Kilkenny
· Develop a short folktale where their character faces accusation and judgement
· Illustrate their story through a simple comic or zine, inspired by the Red Book of Ossory
Through stories of mystery, folklore, and history, children will explore what life was like in the Middle Ages — and why someone might have been accused of wrongdoing.
An atmospheric mix of history, legend, and creativity – perfect for young storytellers!
