Mestre Acordeon and the Capoeira Arts Foundation (CAF) are honored to host Mestre Jelon and celebrate 50 years of capoeira in the United States. Join us for 5 days of learning with local and international guests.
Programming includes a community Dinner & Show highlighting work of the pioneers who brought capoeira to the United States; Bate papos, a 24 HOUR Roda & convivencia, and many workshops of capoeira, music, culture, and dance, inspiring deeper connections within our community.

Wednesday: Dinner and Show
Thursday: Walking field trip and first evening of classes/workshops
Friday: Workshops, Roda and Bate Papo
Saturday noon - Sunday noon - 24 Hour Roda and convivencia!!!!!
Sunday afternoon- Forró with Paulo Pressoto - DJ Veesh
PRICING
• Full pass preregistration (with event shirt) $200. Open until Nov 7th
- Full pass registration (with event shirt) after Nov 7th $250.
- Dinner + show (adult): $50. Dinner + show (kids): $10.
- Day pass (FR, SAT) $100.
- Day pass (Sunday) $80.
- Day pass (Wednesday or thursday) $80.
- Donation option for Mestres/teachers: $50 / $75 / $100
- Kids (14 and under) $20 per workshop
All events will happen at the Casa de Cultura, the Capoeira Arts Foundation building. The building stands as more than just a physical space; It's a cherished home away from home for capoeiristas throughout the world and is a globally recognized hub for rich expressions of Afro Brazilian culture: capoeira, art, dance, philosophies, and music.
