“I don’t let the old man in”, explains Phil Coulter, quoting his hero Clint Eastwood on how, at 82, he’s keeping his pedal to the metal with a brand new Autumn tour.
Commentators who thought that a sell-out run of shows celebrating his 80th year was a kind of grand finale certainly underestimated the man, his boundless energy and incredible staying power. It turns out that there’s a legion of loyal Phil Coulter fans who can’t get enough of the affable Derryman. They wanted to hear more of his music, his classic songs and his ever changing store of music biz stories, and what a store that is.
In this brand new show LEGACY he takes a fresh look back into 60 years at the top of his game – so much music, so many songs, so many new stories, distilled into two hours of vintage gold.
Bringing their own special magic to the proceeding are two special guests.
Firstly renowned singer-songwriter Eimear is extremely proud and honoured to be the support act for this show. Following the triumphant success of her sold-out headline tour, Eimear Crehan, the soulful songstress from Kildare, will be bringing her unique blend of heat-felt lyricism and power-house vocals to the stage.
Eimear is a lifelong fan and admirer of Phils work and is really looking forward to sharing a stage with the legend. Eimear is known for her live performances and as well as her own sold out 2024 headline tour, she has been lucky to work with Paul Brady and Jack Lukeman among others this year.
Our second guest at this show is the incredible SUSO ReFired Choir. This choir are an energy-packed choir putting the Umph into Retired! With lots of brilliant performances under their belt including writing of an original play called ‘The Rehearsal” the ReFired Choir are a joy- filled group of singers who are thrilled to be joining Phil for his Legacy Tour.
They will be singing along with a couple of Phils classics from the audience and they will encourage you to sing along too - Phil loves nothing more than hearing his fans sing along with his incredible classics, from Celebration to Steal Away, there's something for everyone!
