This program is a collaboration between the High Point Public Library and the High Point Historical Society. It will include a panel discussion exploring the legacy of the Washington Street Branch of the High Point Public Library with an emphasis on its past, present, and future influences on the Washington Street Neighborhood district and on the High Point community.The panelists will discuss the impact that the branch library had on families living in the Washington St. neighborhood, the activities that the space currently fosters and plans for how the space will influence the future of the Washington Street district, as directed by the Washington Street Community Association.
This event is the first in a series of programs honoring the 100th anniversary of the High Point Public Library in 2026.
