In the spirit of Grandma's leftovers from Thanksgiving, we are partnering with many races from 2024 to pack up all of our leftovers and send them home with you! This fun new race could provide you with a shift from any of dozens of races, random finisher awards, door prizes, or age group awards. All of the proceeds from this race are going to Jeff Neiwedde and his family to help with the enormous medical bills that they will be facing.Many of you are familiar with Jeff and Indiana timing. On September 21, while clearing trees on his property, Jeff was involved in a serious accident, sustaining multiple skull and facial fractures. It’s been an incredibly difficult time for him and everyone he has made an impact on. Jeff is a friend and I've been doing my best to manage his races while he recovers. Jeff has a long road to recovery ahead, and has remained in a medically induced coma to let his brain heal before he can have the multiple surgeries necessary to repair his fractures.
It's fitting that we find a way to come together in Jeff's honor in this manner which fits so well into what Jeff is all about in the Columbus / Seymour area.
