Leeds Festival of Gothica and Advintagous events in association with Le phonographique AKA Phono and Carpe Norcum presents Leeds Alternative Day, SATURDAY 6th of JULY 2024.
We are happy to announce the second Leeds' Alternative Day of 2024 . The day will start with Leeds Festival of Gothica and AdVintageous Vintage Fairs & Events holding Leeds Alternative Market at Leeds Kirkgate Market. The event will run from 10am - 4.30pm and is open to all ages. Admission is free.
Leeds Alternative market offers a wide range of unique products ranging from dark alternative clothing and furniture to unusual gifts and curios.
Le Phonographique AKA The Phono Saturday afternoon session.
We are all very sad to hear of the closure of Wire. We have been working with Wire over 10 years and with it being a basement club with pillars on the dance floor we feel it is the most Phono-esque club we will ever work in and we are all going to miss you.
Our new venue is going to be at Hifi Club Leeds (2 Central Road, LS1 6BE). The timings have changed slightly to 1pm - 6pm.
In the 90s HiFi Club Leeds was called Scrumpies and hosted the Phono Saturday afternoon session along with other Phono nights (this was whilst the Phonographique venue was closed). Original DJs from the Phono will be playing a mixture of punk, post-punk, new romantics, goth, alternative rock, grunge and the nest alternative dance floor fillers of the 20th century. We know it sounds weird going to a nightclub in the afternoon but we like weird and it works. £5 advance £6 CASH on the door over 18s only.
If you go to the Headrow the next venue is, according to google maps it is a 1 mile walk, 10mins by bus or 5mins by taxi to The library where Carpe Noctum will be putting on The Sisters Of Murphy followed by their dark alternative monthly event(£8 for gig and club night, £5 just for the club night ).
