Spindle Turning Workshop
Date: Saturday, September 28
Time: 9:00 a.m. to noon or 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Calgary Store
Description: Our Lee Valley Advisor will teach you a variety of ways to turn spindles. In this workshop you will learn how to safely mount your wood between centers, learn basic cutting techniques to rough and shape your spindle.
You will then have the opportunity to use those new skills to turn a simple project of your choice. Ideas could include but are not limited to, a carver’s mallet, tree, snowman, seed dibbler, honey dipper, Christmas ornaments, drink muddler and more.
Event registration is required.
18+ Workshop
Under 14 require a guardian on-site.
