Balkun Brothers Bio:
A sibling rock duo from Hartford, CT, has been electrifying audiences with their blend of punk rock and heavy blues riffs for over a decade. Comprised of brothers Nick and Steve, the band has shared stages with legendary acts like Gary Clark Jr., Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, and Gogol Bordello, and has performed at major festivals alongside The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and Iggy Pop. Known for their high-energy live shows, the brothers achieved early recognition when Steve was handpicked by Joe Bonamassa to perform on stage in Los Angeles after being named a finalist in the International Blues Challenge. Their debut album, ReDrova, climbed to #1 on the Roots Music Report Blues-Rock charts, and their European label debut, Devil On TV, solidified their place as global rock innovators.
From touring extensively across the United States to completing six European tours, Balkun Brothers continue to push musical boundaries. Their 2019 release, The Sun Studio Sessions, paid homage to their blues roots with recordings at Memphis' iconic Sun Studios, while their 2020 album, Here Comes The End Of The World, recorded with legendary producer Steve Albini, unleashed a ferocious mix of thrash, punk, and rock. The album was mastered at Jack White's Third Man Records, with White himself attending the session. Combining raw energy, innovative sounds, and an unapologetically in-your-face attitude, Balkun Brothers remain a driving force in the modern rock and blues landscape.
