Welcome to the Lee & Zimmy Classic 2025 event page! Once again we are honoring and celebrating the lives of our dear friends Lee, Zimmy, and now Feather.
RECIPIENT:
This year’s recipient is Dakota’s Dream Animal Rescue (DDAR). Dakota’s Dream is a small, all volunteer run, no-K*ll, 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue group. This group is dedicated to rehabilitating, educating, assessing, and matching animals to people. They receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from the community. Most of their expenses go to medical care for the animals. The President of Dakota’s Dream will speak at the tournament to talk more about the organization. THEME:
World Games! Pick your favorite country and embrace their culture, colors, national teams, and come up with some fun team uniforms of your own. Can't wait to see the creativity this year!
TOURNAMENT DATE AND LOCATION:
October 18, 2025 (8am-8pm) at Virginia Volleyball Center (Home of NVVA)
FORMAT:
Reverse 4s (2 women, 2 men); max 6 players total. This year we will have 3 levels:
- Open level (10 teams/2courts)
- AA level (10 teams/2 courts)
- A level (10 teams/2 courts)
PAYMENT:
$55 per participating player. All money goes to operating costs, players packs, and of course to Dakota’s Dream Animal Rescue (DDAR).
REGISTRATION:
Registration will open on Sunday September 7, 2025 at 7PM (EST). Hopefully this will avoid any issues with people working and not being able to make time to register.
We have room for 6 COURTS so registration will go fast! The registration process will be through VolleyballLife.com again. Please check back for the link, but please make sure the players you have are accurate (no “TBD”s or fake names please!). Once registration is done, all communication will go through VolleyballLife, so if the email address you and your teammates provide are wrong, you will be out of the loop.
