🎤 Speaker: Dr. Akshita Srinivasan


Join us for a fascinating evening with Dr. Akshita Srinivasan as she explores the remarkable cognitive abilities of babies long before they can speak or move independently. This lecture will delve into their complex understanding of people, places, objects, and numbers, revealing how much they grasp about the world around them.

Dr. Srinivasan will introduce the methods used to study infant minds and share insights from her own research on how children learn the compositional system of natural numbers. She will also highlight the importance of her work and its implications for education, artificial intelligence, and policy.

Dr. Akshita Srinivasan earned her PhD in Psychology from Harvard, specializing in Developmental Cognitive Science. She is currently the Director and Lecturer of the Psychology Capstone Program at Stanford University, where she teaches and mentors undergraduate students on projects that connect their psychological knowledge to real-world challenges.
