About this Event

The lecturer:
Ms Zhang Ying, the chief dancer and choreographer of Shaanxi Provincial Song and Dance Drama Theatre, and the national Level-2 performer.

Introduction:
Ms Zhang will introduce Tang Dynasty music and dance from the aspects of melody, dance, choreography, and performance, and give an on-site demonstration to present the glamour of Chinese traditional dance.

Tang Dynasty court dances have unique artistic characteristics and historical value in music, dance, choreography and performance. They not only demonstrated the elegance of Tang Dynasty court dances and the skills of the dancers, but also reflected the prosperity and wealth of Tang Dynasty society. As a treasure in the history of Chinese dance, Tang Dynasty court dances have had a profound influence on the development of dance art in later generations, and are worthy of our in-depth study and inheritance!
