About this Event
The National Botanic Gardens is introducing another series of Autumn Science Lectures.
With over 800 species found in Ireland, bryophytes (mosses, liverworts and hornworts) form a large component of Ireland’s biodiversity, but are oftentimes overlooked. As part of the Autumn Lecture Series at the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, join us for a talk on this fascinating group of intricately beautiful plants to take a closer look at their diversity, learn about their ecological importance and hear why Ireland is so special for them. This talk, with Dr. Christina Campbell, will also highlight the work being undertaken at the National Botanic Gardens on the conservation of our rare and threatened bryophyte species.
