Lecture in Photography: Shannon Bool Wednesday, November 9, 2022, 6-7 p.m. CT

Shannon Bool critiques modernism and connects architectural and art history with feminist concerns in her tapestries, photographs, and sculptures. Bool’s works are held in the permanent collections of Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany; the Metropolitan Museum, NY; Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt, Germany; and the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; among others. She has been featured in exhibitions at Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Kingston (2020), the Centre Culturel Canadien, Paris (2019), the Musée Joliette Canada (2018), Museum of Modern Art Frankfurt (2017), among many others. She is a professor of Painting at Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz, Germany.
Lectures in Photography are co-presented by MoCP and the Photography Department at Columbia College Chicago.
