Andres Gonzalez is an educator, photographer and visual artist whose photographic practice engages the poetics of photography, with a focus on interacting with places and people that often remain overlooked. Gonzales is a Fulbright Fellow and was the recipient of a New York Photo Award, Canon Italia Young Photographer’s Award, Aperture West Book Prize and was selected as one of PDN’s 30. American Origami was the recipient of the Light Work Photobook Award in 2019.
Lectures in Photography are co-presented by MoCP and the Photography Department at Columbia College Chicago.
