Lecture: "Impermanence"
Wednesday 17 July, 7:30pm
What is the cause of real happiness? How does one realise a state when one really has a good feeling inside all the time?
There are two kinds of happiness, one is very worldly – it’s getting all of the things we want and being well protected. However, old age, sickness and death eventually come which are not so pleasant. Finally one has to leave it all and go without it. This is like happiness, but not very lasting, it is impermanent.
There is another type of happiness that we can actually rely upon, trust and which has deep meaning - knowing mind itself. Our true essence. That is where we are aware of the mirror behind the pictures, the ocean underneath the waves. Where that which is looking through our eyes and listening through our ears right now is recognising itself.
Discovering mind itself - the awareness that is and knows everything - this is the real source of lasting happiness. This is what we should wish that everyone discovers, and is what Buddha showed that can exist.

Our program is suitable for beginners and there is plenty of time for individual questions.
Lots of free parking; meditation cushions and mats are provided. The regular program is free of charge.
Please make allowance for a maximum of 90 minutes for the whole evening (times will vary depending on the day).
