About this Event

Petrus Spronk, the artist of the current exhibition titled 'Night and Day' at The Main Gallery, is hosting a lecture on Saturday 11 June at 2pm.

Duration: 45 min - 1 hour

Tickets are free, and booking is essential!

During this talk, Petrus will be dealing with the simple subjects of ceramic making in a poetic way.

-Does the attendance need to bring anything?

Yes, 'attention' plus something to sit on.

-Can the attendance be a part of the talk?

Your attendance and attention will make them automatically a part of the talk. Petrus also will answer questions at the end of his address.

The exhibition is available to see from 12 - 5 pm Wednesday to Friday, 1 - 5 pm Saturday until 25 June.

Petrus is represented in the collection of the Art Gallery of South Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria, and other National Collections. He is represented in institutional collections in Japan and Korea. Petrus is also a celebrated sculptor of many public commissions including the iconic Architectural Fragment, 1992, emerging from the pavement outside the State Library of Victoria. He is represented in regional collections in Australia, most recently by Daylesford Museum and Historical Society.

Please note: Following the State Government's lifting of the mask mandate except for high-risk venues, masks are not required but suggested.
