The lecture is scheduled for a time before International Wetland Day, which is celebrated on February 2nd annually. It provides the basics on wetland ecosystems’ diversity, structure, and functions, and on their place and role in the landscape. Examples will be taken from all over the world: the Arctic, the highlands of Mongolia, Peru, and Uganda, the lowlands of the Nile Basin, Siberia, and the Middle East.
The lecture will be held on-site, and there will be no possibility to join online; however, we will do our best to organize a recording and share it on our webpage.
