Lectio Divina, literally meaning "divine reading", is an ancient practice of praying the Scriptures. Our praying, or conversation with God, includes God's response. At least that is God's desire. Sometimes following our "Amen" we go on with our day, not realizing that God might be responding with, "Can we talk?" Lectio Divina intentionally includes interaction or God "getting a word in". It is said that Lectio Divina is reading Scripture with the ear of your heart. Lectio Divina can be a spiritual tool that enhances our faith journey going forward.
