About this Event
Difficulty: Easy; slow pace with some rocky, uneven surfaces
Appropriate for: All are welcome
Leader: Niti Seereeram
About the hike: Join Friends of the Fells in a winter with a hike at Greenwood Park! We will learn about how humans impact the Fells ecosystem and what we can do as users of the Fells to help protect this beautiful natural resource. We’ll also check out some rogue trails at the top of Whip Hill that were officially closed by Friends of the Fells volunteers and the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Parking is available at the Greenwood Park parking lot (Google Maps location). Meet at the Greenwood Park trailhead. We’ll travel up to Whip Hill and then loop back via the Crystal Spring Trail. Please note that there may be icy conditions and rocky terrain on this route.
Heavy rain/snow, thunder, or stormy wind cancels.
