About this Event
The Leaving Cert Mathematics Review is a free 10-week programme run at MIC Thurles which will provide 6th year students with the opportunity to revise all 5 strands of Higher-Level Senior Cycle Mathematics. Supported by the Department of Enterprise and Community Engagement at MIC, there will be a workshop each week (1 hour and 15 minutes, delivered by Dr Páraic Treacy, MIC Thurles) focusing on a particular strand of the curriculum(e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Functions)
Session 1: Algebra – 22nd February
Session 2: Algebra – 29th February
Session 3: Number – 7th March
Session 4: Number – 14th March
Session 5: Geometry – 21st March
EASTER BREAK
Session 6: Trigonometry – 11th April
Session 7: Statistics – 18th April
Session 8: Probability – 25th April
Session 9: Functions (Differentiation)– 2nd May
Session 10: Functions (Differentiation & Integration) – 9th May
These sessions are intended to support students in bridging any gaps in understanding they may have and to gain access to free, expert guidance in Mathematics as they prepare for their Leaving Certificate examinations.
These sessions will take place in MIC Thurles on Thursdays from 6pm until 7:15pm from 22nd February through to 9th May.
Spaces are limited so participants are asked to commit where possible to the 10 weeks of the programme
