Leatherworks

This course introduces the student to the basic concepts of leather construction. The student will have an overview of the industrial equipment, the processes of measuring, cutting, sewing, and the sequence of assembly. Student learning outcomes upon completion of this course, students should be able to: Analyze and adopt construction methodology to industry standards.

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of industrial leather equipment.

Demonstrate knowledge of seams, sewing, and pressing operations

Demonstrate an understanding of cutting, marking, and sequence of assembly.

Demonstrate an ability to use measuring tools to demonstrate technical accuracy

Demonstrate an understanding of the process of leather assembly

The course is 8 weeks from 10 am-12 pm each Thursday starting Jan 12th.
