This screening reflects the theater’s commitment to listening to its audience and exploring films that spark connection, conversation, and meaning.Learning You is a heartfelt, faith-based dramedy opening nationwide January 16, 2026. The film follows Ty, a struggling architect and father, who embarks on a Christmas road trip with his autistic son, Elijah, after the collapse of his marriage. Along the way, the pair confront fear, grief, and misunderstanding, guided by Elijah’s imaginary companion, Nook, a life-sized, talking bear who serves as both comic relief and a gentle conscience.
Inspired by real families raising children with special needs, Learning You shines a compassionate light on autism awareness, father-son bonding, faith, and the search for joy in unexpected places. The production made intentional efforts to include autistic individuals and authentic perspectives both on and off screen.
