About this Event

Join with Professor Steve Walton on a day to equip you with knowledge, tools and approaches which will enable you to understand Luke’s Gospel more fullyand to preach it more informatively and accessibly to your congregations.


Professor Steve Walton is Senior Research Fellow in New Testament at Trinity College, Bristol. He and has served in student ministry, parish ministry, as Vocation and Ministry Adviser with the Church Pastoral Aid Society, and previously taught in colleges and universities in Bedford, London and Nottingham. He has published widely, particularly on Luke and Acts, most recently Reading Acts Theologically (Bloomsbury T&T Clark, 2022; paperback edition 2024). He is writing the Word Biblical Commentary on Acts: volume 1 (Acts 1–9) will appear later in 2024. He is a retired international volleyball referee, and was a torchbearer for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Steve lives with his wife, Ali, in Loughborough, where she is associate rector of Emmanuel Church, and their Border Terrier, Flora.
