Come learn essential Spanish vocabulary for communicating as a tourist in Latin America. Practice simple Spanish conversations for the airport, hotel, transportation, restaurants, and shopping. This course is an introduction or refresher for those who will be traveling to a Spanish-speaking country. İBuen viaje! Have a good trip!
About the workshop:
Duration: Five one-hour sessions
Instructor: Led by Carlos Goebels
Class size: Limited to 15 participants; no fewer than 5 participants
This class will meet on Saturdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the loft of Bookstore1Sarasota at 117 S. Pineapple Ave for the following dates: Nov. 16, Nov. 23, Nov. 30, Dec. 7, and Dec. 14.
You're encouraged to purchase any of the following guidebooks at a discounted rate through Bookstore1Sarasota, so lookout for an email that asks for your selection once you've registered:

Families are encouraged to sign up together! The minimum age to participate is 14 years old. No previous experience is required.
About the instructor:
Carlos Goebels is a college and adult educator with extensive knowledge and experience in Latin American culture, Spanish, English as a Second Language, and public speaking. He currently teaches continuing education Spanish and culture courses at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. Carlos earned his master's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Registration:
The workshop is in the loft at Bookstore1 at The Mark, 117 S. Pineapple Ave. Registration is required. The workshop cost is $100 which includes all five sessions. Registration deadline: Wednesday, November 11.
