Learning the Legalities Involved with Filmmaking

This is a workshop that is designed to help filmmakers learn more about the legalities required as part of filmmaking. The host for this panel is Natalie LeVeck, who previously worked at Sony and Legendary Entertainment, where she handled production and marketing legal matters for box office hits. Examples include: Godzilla, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Jumanji, Spectre and Hotel Transylvania.

At present, she acts as an attorney for Google, who has negotiated the company’s largest celebrity engagements for its marketing campaigns and commercials. Some of these include stars Amy Schumer, Lizzo, Selena Gomez, Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan.

She has produced three independent feature films and one award-winning short film. In the producer capacity, Natalie uses her background to negotiate smart deals for the production and stretch indie dollars as far as possible to make her sets as close to studio film sets as she can. Natalie is also a regular speaker on entertainment law panels and a mentor to female indie film producers and entertainment lawyers.
