Come along to our recruitment event on Monday 1st July where you can hear about our Learning Support Assistant vacancies as well as meeting the team. The event will be taking place at 13 Bennett's Hill, Birmingham which is just around the corner from Birmingham New Street. Parking is available at Birmingham Snowhill Train Station (paid parking only).
The event will run from 3-7PM split into hour long slots where attendees can register for their preferred time slot.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistants to join us at any of the below campuses
Sandwell College (West Bromwich)
Cadbury Sixth Form College (Kings Norton)
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing academic and personal support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and succeed in their studies. The role involves working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials, offering one-on-one or group support sessions, and assisting with the development of personalised learning plans. Ideal candidates will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with individuals with diverse learning requirements. These positions offer the opportunity to make meaningful impact on students' educational journeys in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Our departments currently hiring:
Cadbury - At Cadbury campus, the Additional Learning Support Team work exceptionally hard and are committed to developing inclusive learning approaches and to provide additional learning support to ensure that all young people are able to access their learning and to secure success in their studies. Our team of Learning Support Assistants combine their experience with enthusiasm, with expertise ranging across a wide number of different needs. Our Learning Support Assistants provide tailored assistance to learners based on their diagnoses and history of need, ensuring that students receive appropriate accommodations in a mainstream setting. Our comprehensive services include: one-to-one support (in and out of class), creating detailed and informative student provision plans for teachers, small group work and support with structuring and organising work. Our provision of in class support helps learners to stay focused, understand material and participate in group work and class discussions, while out of class support during unstructured times provide support with supervision, organisation and social interaction. Through these efforts, we aim to ensure every learner’s success in their educational journey.
HubXtra - HubeXtra is a vibrant team of diverse individuals with a wide range of skill sets from politics to psychology, engineering to childcare, with many of our team holding bachelor’s degrees in their field. Our team have a polished literacy and numeracy skillset which is frequently tested and continually developing using in-house training provided by the college. With a focus on SEN/EHCP learners, our team deliver consistent and helpful in class support, with a focus on 4 areas: cognition/learning, social/emotional/mental health, sensory and physical, and communication/interaction. In the classroom, our team endeavour to embed numeracy and literacy skills alongside support with the learners’ chosen vocation. Additionally, LSA’s provide emotional support for learners, helping them navigate life at college. Some of our learners may present with challenging behaviours due to their complex needs, therefore our team are equipped with behaviour management skills to tackle this.
Foundation Learning - Foundation Learning is a department that aims to promote and develop learner confidence and independence whilst using a holistic approach. The department offers a varied curriculum that supports learners to use their preferred learning styles, which instils transferable skills that can be used when pursuing future goals and aspirations. Foundation Learning boast a large team of experienced and skilled staff that consists of LSA’s, lecturers, work placement officers and EHCP plan officers. The department supports all aspects of education, pastoral support as well as fulfilling personal care needs of learners. Staff within Foundation Learning have a specialist knowledge of SEND and suitable strategies that encourage the learners to progress and achieve, alongside promoting their wellbeing.
These are for full-time, fixed term contract roles, with the possibility for extensions and permanent opportunities in the future.
